Vuze (previously known as Azureus) is free software, available from http://azureus.sourceforge.net/ and http://www.vuze.com/
If you have been charged to download Vuze/Azureus then we are very sorry to say that you have been ripped off - you should try and get a refund from the people who have charged you.
The source code for Vuze/Azureus is "open source" and follows the GNU General Public License (GPL), the text of which license gets installed to your Vuze program directory.
The list that follows gives you websites falsely using the Vuze/Azureus name and product to make you pay.

[edit] Historical stuff regarding azureus.com domain
PRIOR TO MAY 15th, 2007, azureus.com had nothing to do with Azureus. We have been in dispute with the owners of this domain for a very long time, but only recently gained access to the domain. In June 2006 WIPO ruled in our favour (http://www.wipo.int/amc/en/domains/decisions/html/2006/d2006-0315.html). They appealed, and dragged out the process until 2007.
