Change Notification Area Icon
From VuzeWiki
(Redirected from ChangeNotificationAreaIcon)
How to change the icon that Azureus uses in the Notification Area / System tray / Taskbar.
The effect of this change is to change the icon to any picture of the appropriate dimensions and colour depths. The image needs to be a 16x16 size .png file and named 'a16.png'. It is located in the directory /org/gudy/azureus2/ui/icons/ inside the azureus2.jar file.
To effect the change follow these steps after terminating all running instances of Azureus:
- Venture to where your Azureus install is and rename
azureus2.jartoazureus2.zip. (If your archive manager supports handling .jar files, you can skip this step.) - Open the Zip archive in your favoured archive manager and navigate to directory
/org/gudy/azureus2/ui/icons/ - Replace a16.png in the archive with the new picture, named identically
- Close and save the archive
- Rename
azureus2.zipback toazureus2.jar(the reverse of the first step)
Many popular archivers like WinRAR and WinZip should be able to open .jar files directly (without renaming it to .zip).
